2.5 Payment Information

When you purchase a paid Rentaro service, such as unlocking property contact information, payment processing may be performed through our third-party payment provider, such as Razorpay.

Rentaro may receive and store information necessary to identify and reconcile a transaction, including:

Payment/order ID
Transaction ID
Property associated with the transaction
Amount
Currency
Payment status
Payment timestamps
Refund or failure information

Payment card, UPI, banking, or other sensitive payment credentials are processed by the applicable payment provider and are not intentionally stored by Rentaro in its own database.

Razorpay may process customer personal and transaction information as part of payment processing under its own applicable privacy terms.

4. Property Contact Information

Rentaro may allow a Customer to unlock contact information associated with a property after completing the applicable payment process.

Once the required payment has been successfully verified, Rentaro may provide the Customer with the contact information that the Lister has chosen to make available through the Platform.

Customers must use such contact information only for legitimate rental-related communication and must not misuse, scrape, distribute, sell, or publish another person's contact information without authorization.

Listers should only provide contact information that they are legally permitted to provide for this purpose.

5. How We Share Information

Rentaro does not sell your personal information as a standalone product.

We may share information with service providers and other parties when reasonably necessary to operate Rentaro, provide requested services, process transactions, protect users, or comply with law.

These may include:

Payment Providers

We may share necessary information with payment providers such as Razorpay to process and verify payments. Razorpay's own policies describe its processing of personal and transaction data in connection with payment services.

OTP/SMS Providers

We may share necessary mobile-number and authentication information with our selected SMS/OTP provider to deliver OTP messages and verify users.

Cloud Storage and Media Providers

Property images and videos may be processed and stored using third-party infrastructure providers. Rentaro currently uses services such as:

Cloudinary for property videos

These services may process technical information required to store, deliver, and manage uploaded media.

A Lister should not upload personal information belonging to another person unless the Lister has the necessary authorization.

Customers should also understand that contacting a Lister may result in personal information being exchanged directly between the Customer and Lister. Once information is shared directly between users outside Rentaro, its subsequent use may be outside Rentaro's control.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, misuse, or destruction.

These measures may include:
