Welcome to Rentaro.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rentaro website, application, and related services (“Platform”).
In these Terms:
- “Rentaro”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the operator of the Rentaro Platform.
- “Customer”, “you”, or “your” refers to a person using Rentaro to search for or interact with rental properties.
- “Lister” refers to a property owner or an authorized person who lists a property on Rentaro.
- “Property” refers to a rental property listed on the Platform.
By accessing, registering for, or using Rentaro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Rentaro.
1. About Rentaro
Rentaro is an online rental marketplace designed to help Customers discover rental properties and connect with Listers.
Rentaro may provide:
- Property search
- Property listings
- Property images and videos
- Search and filtering
- Favorites
- Property contact unlocking
- Customer and Lister accounts
- Property management tools
- Payment-enabled services
- Other related marketplace features
Rentaro is a technology platform that facilitates connections between Customers and Listers.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Rentaro:
- Does not own every property listed on the Platform.
- Is not the landlord of listed properties.
- Does not guarantee that a property is available.
- Does not guarantee the accuracy of every listing.
- Does not guarantee that a Lister will respond.
- Does not guarantee that a rental agreement will be completed.
2. Eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating or using a Rentaro account.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are legally permitted to use Rentaro and enter into any rental-related arrangement.
You must not use Rentaro if:
- You are prohibited from using such services under applicable law.
- You provide false identity information.
- You impersonate another person.
- You use another person's account without authorization.
3. Account Registration
Certain Rentaro features require registration.
You may be required to provide information such as:
- Full name
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Account type
- Authentication information
- Other information required to provide the service
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information.
- Keep your information reasonably up to date.
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Not share your account with another person.
- Immediately notify Rentaro if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by a security failure attributable to Rentaro.
4. Customer Accounts
Customers may use Rentaro to:
- Search for properties.
- View property information.
- Save or favorite properties.
- Contact Listers.
- Purchase applicable Rentaro services.
- Unlock property contact information.
Customers must use the Platform only for legitimate rental-related purposes.
Customers must not:
- Scrape property information.
- Collect contact information in bulk.
- Resell contact information.
- Spam Listers.
- Harass Listers.
- Impersonate another person.
- Use automated systems to abuse the Platform.
- Attempt to bypass Rentaro's payment or access controls.
5. Lister Accounts
Listers may create and manage property listings.
A Lister must have the legal right or appropriate authorization to list the property.
When creating a listing, the Lister agrees that:
- The property information is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
- The property actually exists.
- The Lister has authority to advertise the property.
- Uploaded images and videos relate to the property.
- The Lister has the necessary rights to upload the content.
- Rental information is not intentionally misleading.
- Contact information provided is accurate where applicable.
Rentaro may remove, restrict, or suspend listings that violate these Terms.
6. Property Listings
Property listings may contain:
- Property description
- Location
- Rental price
- Property type
- Amenities
- Availability
- Images
- Videos
- Contact information
- Other listing information
Rentaro does not guarantee that all listing information is accurate, complete, current, or available.
Property availability and rental terms may change without notice.
Customers should independently verify important information with the Lister before entering into any rental agreement or making additional payments.
7. Property Images and Videos
Listers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights to upload property images and videos.
Uploaded content must not:
- Infringe another person's copyright.
- Contain illegal content.
- Intentionally misrepresent a property.
- Contain malicious software.
- Contain prohibited or abusive material.
Rentaro may process, resize, optimize, compress, store, and deliver uploaded media through third-party infrastructure providers.
Rentaro may remove media that violates these Terms.
8. Contact Unlock Service
Rentaro may provide a paid service that allows a Customer to unlock contact information associated with a property.
The applicable price will be displayed before payment.
After successful payment verification, the Customer may receive access to the contact information that the Lister has made available through Rentaro.
The contact unlock payment is a payment for the Rentaro contact-access service.
It does not constitute:
- A property rental payment.
- A security deposit.
- A guarantee that the property will be rented.
- A guarantee that the Lister will respond.
- A guarantee that the property remains available.
- A guarantee that the Customer will successfully rent the property.
Rentaro does not guarantee that contact with a Lister will result in a successful rental transaction.
9. Rental Agreements
Any rental agreement, lease, deposit, rent payment, inspection, negotiation, or other arrangement between a Customer and Lister is between those parties unless Rentaro expressly states otherwise.
Rentaro is not responsible for:
- Rental negotiations.
- Rental agreements.
- Security deposits paid directly to Listers.
- Rent payments made directly to Listers.
- Property condition.
- Possession of a property.
- Disputes between Customers and Listers.
- Failure of either party to perform their obligations.
Customers should conduct appropriate verification and due diligence before entering into a rental agreement.
10. Payments
Certain Rentaro features may require payment.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay.
Before completing a payment, the applicable amount and service should be clearly displayed.
Rentaro may receive transaction information necessary to identify and reconcile payments, including:
- Order ID
- Payment ID
- Amount
- Currency
- Payment status
- Refund status
- Transaction timestamps
Payment processing may also be subject to the payment provider's own terms and policies.
A payment is considered successfully completed by Rentaro only after appropriate server-side verification.
11. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by Rentaro's Refund & Cancellation Policy.
The applicable refund conditions, eligibility requirements, and refund process are described in that policy.
A successful payment for a contact-unlock service does not guarantee that the Customer will successfully rent the property.
Rentaro may provide refunds in qualifying circumstances described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
12. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Rentaro to:
- Publish fraudulent property listings.
- Impersonate another person.
- Provide false identity information.
- Upload stolen or unauthorized content.
- Collect user information without authorization.
- Scrape or automatically harvest Platform data.
- Send spam.
- Harass or threaten other users.
- Attempt to bypass payment requirements.
- Attempt unauthorized access to Rentaro systems.
- Introduce malware or malicious code.
- Interfere with Platform availability.
- Reverse engineer the Platform where prohibited by law.
- Circumvent security, authentication, or access controls.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse Platform features.
- Use another person's account without authorization.
- Use Rentaro for unlawful purposes.
13. User Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit to Rentaro, subject to the rights necessary for Rentaro to operate the Platform.
By uploading or submitting content, you grant Rentaro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, resize, optimize, display, distribute, and technically modify that content as reasonably necessary to provide and operate the Platform.
This may include:
- Property images
- Property videos
- Property descriptions
- Listing information
- Profile information submitted for publication
You represent that you have the necessary rights to grant this license.
14. Intellectual Property
Rentaro's software, branding, logos, design, user interface, documentation, and original Platform content are owned by or licensed to Rentaro unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Rentaro's proprietary materials without authorization.
User-generated property content remains subject to the ownership rights of the respective user.
15. Third-Party Services
Rentaro may integrate with third-party services, including:
- Payment providers
- SMS and OTP providers
- Cloud storage providers
- Video and media processing providers
- Hosting providers
- Database providers
- Analytics and monitoring services
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Rentaro is not responsible for independent third-party services outside Rentaro's control.
16. Platform Availability
Rentaro aims to provide a reliable Platform but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The Platform may temporarily become unavailable because of:
- Maintenance
- Infrastructure failures
- Security incidents
- Network problems
- Third-party service failures
- Software updates
- Events beyond our reasonable control
Rentaro may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.
17. Account Suspension and Termination
Rentaro may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary if:
- The user violates these Terms.
- Fraudulent activity is suspected.
- The user abuses Platform functionality.
- The account creates security risks.
- Unlawful activity is suspected.
- Information provided is materially false.
- Required by law.
Users may stop using Rentaro at any time.
Termination does not automatically remove obligations that arose before termination.
18. Disclaimer
Rentaro provides the Platform on an “as available” basis.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rentaro does not guarantee:
- Accuracy of every property listing.
- Property availability.
- Suitability of a property.
- Identity or reliability of every user.
- Successful rental transactions.
- Uninterrupted Platform availability.
- Successful communication between users.
- Accuracy of user-submitted information.
Customers and Listers are responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rentaro will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from:
- Rental disputes.
- Inaccurate user-submitted information.
- Property condition.
- Agreements between Customers and Listers.
- Transactions conducted outside Rentaro.
- Third-party service failures.
- Unauthorized actions of users.
- Temporary Platform interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend and hold Rentaro and its operator harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your misuse of Rentaro.
- Your unlawful activity.
- Content you upload.
- Infringement of another person's rights.
- Disputes arising from your dealings with another user.
21. Privacy
Your use of Rentaro is also governed by the Rentaro Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how Rentaro collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.

22. Changes to These Terms
Rentaro may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
- Changes to Rentaro.
- Changes to our services.
- Changes to technology.
- Changes to legal or regulatory requirements.
- Changes to our business or data practices.
When material changes are made, Rentaro may provide appropriate notice through the Platform or other reasonable means.
The updated Terms will be published with a revised “Last Updated” date.
23. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of India, subject to applicable consumer-protection and other mandatory legal requirements.
Any dispute relating to Rentaro will be handled in accordance with applicable Indian law and the appropriate legal jurisdiction.
